NBA Star: Jrue Randall Holiday

Jrue Randall Holiday, born June 12, 1990, is an American professional basketball player for the Boston Celtics of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He is a two-time NBA All-Star and has won the NBA's Twyman-Stokes Teammate of the Year Award three times.

Early Life and Career

Holiday was born in Los Angeles, California, and attended Campbell Hall School in North Hollywood. He played college basketball for the UCLA Bruins, where he was named an All-Pac-12 First Team selection in 2010 and 2011.

Holiday was selected by the Philadelphia 76ers with the 17th overall pick in the 2009 NBA Draft. He was traded to the New Orleans Hornets (now Pelicans) in 2013 and then to the Bucks in 2019.

Milwaukee Bucks

Holiday spent four seasons with the Bucks, helping them win the NBA championship in 2021. He was named the NBA's Twyman-Stokes Teammate of the Year Award in 2020, 2021, and 2023.

Boston Celtics

In 2023, Holiday signed a four-year, $133 million contract with the Boston Celtics. He is expected to team up with Jayson Tatum and form a formidable backcourt duo.

International Career

Holiday has represented the United States in international competition, winning a gold medal at the 2016 Summer Olympics.

Personal Life

Holiday is married to former professional soccer player Lauren Cheney. They have two children together.
